FAQ

How would you describe your photography style?

My style is geared towards documentary wedding photography as I prefer to capture more natural photographs as this portrays the emotions throughout the day. This method enables me to capture your day in an informal and unobtrusive manner.

Can we meet you before the wedding?

I often encourage at least one meeting prior to the wedding date. This will usually be 3 months before the wedding day and at the wedding venue. I feel it is important that we get to know one another and to build up a relationship and understanding so that your day remains special and stress free. I would spend sometime going through the wedding day and discussing the various shoots you require and the best locations for these to be taken.

How do we book your services?

I am always happy to discuss your requirements on the telephone and answer any questions you may have. Alternatively, please feel free to complete the form on the Contacts page of this website to check my availability.

When you are ready to book I will require a completed and signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the contract value to secure my services for your wedding date. The remainder of the balance is due 28 days before the wedding date.

Will it be a problem if you have not done photography at our venue before?

This will not be a problem. As a professional photographer, I will always research any venue which may include a pre-wedding day visit. By undertaking this during the planning stage I can start making a note of the best backdrops and interesting areas to take your photographs. I also like to become acquainted with the venue’s Manager so that we build a good working relationship prior to the big day.

Do we receive a mixture of black and white, and colour photographs?

This would depend on your requirements – if you have specifically requested black and white then I shall adhere to this request. However, if you have made no special requests I will endeavour to provide you with a mixture of both black and white and colour photographs. Whilst undertaking the editing process I will usually make a judgement whether the image would look better in colour or black and white. Every image is produced to the highest resolution so if required, photos can be re-edited to suit.

Why are you different from other wedding photographers?

I am very passionate and have an eye for detail and anticipating key moments throughout the day. I carefully plan the day months before the wedding date and will visit the venue(s) to scout for photographic locations to ensure the best backdrops are used.

I am discrete, polite and friendly and have the ability to blend in which gives me the opportunity to capture natural shots.

What is your dress code for our wedding?

I believe in portraying a professional image is very important. I like to be relaxed and comfortable but also smart on your wedding day, always wearing a smart shirt, formal trousers and shoes.

What camera equipment do you use?

I only work with Nikon equipment as I believe they produce the best images. I operate with two camera bodies and usually have a range of lenses with me so I have complete flexibility.

Do you travel abroad?

Yes, I welcome the opportunity to shoot weddings at any location. If you are thinking of having a destination wedding please contact me so I can put together a bespoke photography package for you.

What happens after the wedding day?

Selecting your photographer has to be a good experience, from the moment we meet, through your magical day, to the delivery of your wedding portfolio. I know most couples are keen to see their photos as soon as possible. To ensure you can re-live your wedding day through the images taken, it is important for me to spend time editing and applying corrections where required to provide you with a high-resolution photograph. This process can take 2-3 weeks to complete.

The images will be presented to you on a USB memory stick in a presentation box so that you have the opportunity to review the portfolio and check that you are happy. The images will have no copyright restrictions and there will not be any watermarks.

Once you are content, I will then arrange for your wedding album to be uploaded onto my website within the client area and provide you with a password which can then be given to family and friends to access.
